Hard Labor and Lots of Love Rebuilds Church after Harvey

It has only been a few months since Harvey devastated our area and turned many lives upside down.

We love hearing stories about comebacks that involve the community coming together to rebuild after Hurricane Harvey. Praise Church, in Beaumont is one of those stories.

Praise Church, like many others in the area, had to completely gut their entire building and start over. Since Harvey, Praise Church have been grateful to be able to continue having their services – with much thanks to  Church on the Rock North in Beaumont and also at Calvary Baptist in Beaumont.  Over the past many months, with the incredible love and hard labor from their members, whom many delayed their own home repairs in order to get the church open again for services; and along with many volunteers with huge hearts, their church family is finally able to be back in their home this Sunday, February 18 to hold services at their regular times of 8:30a, 10a and 11:45a.

Even during the rebuild of their own church, Praise members continued giving back to the community by helping others rebuild their homes through their Handyman Ministry. For many years, they have gone beyond their own walls to reach out to our community with God’s love , through their Handyman Ministry. If you are interested in serving others, their Handyman Ministry is a great place to start. Whether you can help paint a room, hang a door, or replace a rickety porch, their Handyman Ministry seeks to help those who can’t help themselves. Congratulations Praise Church! We are looking forward to seeing their new look when they open their front doors for services this Sunday, for the first time since Hurricane Harvey.
